About the event
On December 10th at 2pm (BRT)/6pm (CET), the Apoena Network, which brings together Brazilian researchers in Germany, promotes the Webinar "The 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry in the vision of two Brazilian chemists". The event has the support of the Embassy of Brazil in Berlin and that of SBQ.
Speakers José Tiago Menezes Correia, postdoctoral fellow at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), and Eufrânio da Silva Júnior, professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), will explain the science of the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, which went to the researchers Benjamin List, from the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung (Germany), of which Correia was a doctoral student, and David MacMillan, from Princeton University (United States), for their contribution in the area of asymmetric organocatalysis.
